This car comprises a 4 cylinder Delahaye engine which may well be from around 1903 attached to a veteran looking gearbox in an unknown wooden chassis. The steering column, front axle and chain drive rear axle appear to be very early but carry no unidentifiable markings and the transaxle incorporates what looks like relatively modern differential. The car has been inspected by one of the foremost veteran car experts and his written conclusions are available for your perusal. The car could be put together as a driveable machine using the existing components or the engine could be put in a suitable early chassis (nice if you had one from a Delahaye!) with a view to getting a VCC eligibility certificate. If you consider what price a four cylinder Brighton car is these days this project ought to be worth a look just in case you can make it happen!
